MILESTONES
If selected, Jonathan Brown will move into equal 14th position on the Club’s all-time games list (Fitzroy and Bears included).

Brown is currently outright 15th with 247 games – but is just one game away from joining Jason Akermanis’ feat of 248 games with the Club.

The 32-year-old has already moved into outright third position on the Club’s all-time leading goal-kickers list this season, with his four goals against Hawthorn in Round One edging him ahead of former Fitzroy ‘Superboot’ Bernie Quinlan.

Brown currently has 579 career goals, which is still 54 goals short of Alastair Lynch’s record of 633.

If selected, Jack Redden will hold the seventh longest streak in AFL/VFL history of consecutive games played since his debut.

Last Sunday, Redden became just the eighth person to play 100 straight matches from his debut, but will move ahead of Hawthorn’s Ian Law on the all-time list should he play this Saturday.

Interestingly, Redden’s midfield coach at the Lions, Shane Woewodin, sits just ahead of him in sixth position with 107 games from debut with Melbourne.

Pearce Hanley has polled Brownlow Medal votes in three of the six QClashes played between the Lions and SUNS, but has never received the Marcus Ashcroft Medal as the best afield.
