Brisbane Lions fans will get another chance to re-live the Club’s hat-trick of premierships when the third instalment of Inside the Pride premieres at 7pm (local time) this Friday night.

Hosted by former premiership ruckman Jamie Charman, the 30-minute special will focus on the 10-year celebrations of the Lions’ memorable 3-Peat triumph.

Fittingly, it will be broadcast in the lead-up to Friday night’s prime-time clash against the Lions’ old Grand Final foes, Collingwood.

The documentary features in-depth interviews with premiership heroes Simon Black, Clark Keating and Chris Johnson, who reflect on their memories from that remarkable period of success.

“The 2002 Grand Final stands out as a really tough game. That year was a tough year for me personally. I didn’t play many senior games in the home-and-away season,” Keating reveals.

“The emotions I had after that game were higher than normal, mainly because it was such a tough year for me.”

Johnson, meanwhile, said it wasn’t until later in his career that he started to realise the enormity of what the team had achieved.

“At the time, I was just living in the moment. Then, in 2005 and 2006, I started to realise how lucky I was,” Johnson says.

“It’s been 10 years – it’s amazing how quick it goes. I can remember some stuff now like it just happened yesterday.”

Fans will also get to see exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the 3-Peat Anniversary Luncheon held earlier this year, as well as vision of the 3-Peat ‘Hero’ guernsey being produced by KooGa.

As well as recognising the past, the documentary also acknowledges the future by previewing the second half of the 2013 season and speaking with some of the Club’s brightest young stars.

Queensland-based fans will be able to watch Inside the Pride from 7pm (local time) this Friday 31 May on 7mate, immediately before the team’s Round 10 blockbuster against Collingwood at the Gabba.

The episode will also be streamed nationally on LIONS TV from 7pm (AEDT).
