The Brisbane Lions continue to live by their mantra of going ALL IN, with the Club throwing its support behind and partnering with Fight MND – Australia’s leading MND Foundation.

Fittingly, Fight MND has this year adopted the same motto ALL IN, hoping to urge all Australians to join the fight.

As part of its support of the cause, the Brisbane Lions will be hosting its own Big Freeze – Gabba style, when they take on the Sydney Swans at home on Friday 16 June, the same week as the Big Freeze at the MCG.

Fight MND Co-Founder and former AFL player and coach, Neale Daniher AO, is once again inspiring many as he leads the quest to fine a cure for MND for the ninth year.

“Every day is a fight, not just for me but for every single person affected by this disease. I won’t stop fighting until we find a cure,” Daniher said.

“I live by the words ‘when all is said and done, more is said than done. It’s not about what you say, it’s about what you do.’ So this Big Freeze 9, I’m asking Australians to join the all in fight and lead with their actions.

“This year, let’s go all in and show this beast we won’t back down. We can do this together.”

One Lion who is tackling this challenge the same way he plays is Brisbane Lions midfielder Josh Dunkley.

The first-year Lion is leading the way by encouraging his teammates and everyone at the Club to play their role.

“Neale Daniher is an incredible person, and we are in awe of what he has done with Fight MND and The Big Freeze,” Dunkley said.

“It’s an honour for everyone at the Brisbane Lions to be partnering with Fight MND and playing the Sydney Swans the week of The Big Freeze.

“Everyone can play a part by buying a beanie at Coles, Coles Express, Bunnings, or online at fightmnd.org.au and let’s help Neale beat the beast.”

Daniher echoed Dunkley’s message, explaining how the simple act could have a life-changing impact.

“By donning your beanie, you’re making your mark in the fight against MND,” he said.

“One day, when we live in a world free of this disease, you can stand proud knowing you helped us get there.”

More details of the Brisbane Lions Round 14 clash against Sydney supporting Fight MND will be released in due course.
