Vero, one of Australia’s leading general insurance providers, will be the Lions’ Coaches’ Partner for the next three years.
The Vero brand will also now feature on all coaches’ apparel and in the Lions’ coaches’ box as the naming rights holder of the Vero Coaching Group.
Making the announcement at the Club’s season launch tonight, Lions Senior Coach, Michael Voss, and CEO, Malcolm Holmes, introduced Vero CEO, Anthony Day, as the newest member of the Lions’ family.
“We’re thrilled to have Vero on board as the sponsor of the Lions’ coaching team for what we’re sure will be an exciting few years ahead,” Voss said.
Voss rated Vero as the Club’s biggest off-season coaching signing in a summer that saw Mark Harvey and Jamie Charman join the coaching group.
"Vero's new partnership with the Brisbane Lions Coaching team reflects our approach - we both know success is built on effort, innovation and teamwork," Mr Day said.
"We share an attitude, capability and skills that differentiate us from our competitors.
"It is a great time for Vero to be involved with the Brisbane Lions - we are both looking forward to a successful partnership on and off the field."
Holmes said that the Lions would aim to deliver strong results for Vero in the new partnership.
“This is a great outcome for both the Brisbane Lions and Vero - the Brisbane Lions is a strong brand in the market, and the addition of a strong brand such as Vero to our family is a fantastic result,” Holmes said.
“I believe we have one of the best coaching teams in the league, with names such as Michael Voss, Mark Harvey, Adrian Fletcher, Shane Woewodin and Gary O’Donnell - among others - and they are extremely excited about this new partnership with Vero.”
