The 2026 Smithy’s VFL fixture has been confirmed today as the Brisbane Lions look to prepare for another huge year.

The Lions will kick off the season with a bye, in line with the bye for the AFL side but will play their first game in Round 2 against archrivals Southport at Brighton Homes Arena.

Round 3 will see the Lions take on Sandringham on Good Friday at Brighton Homes Arena, continuing the footy frenzy after the AFL side meets Collingwood at the Gabba on Easter Thursday night.

Port Melbourne (Round 5), Geelong (Round 8) and Frankston (Round 10) will all travel to Springfield prior to the Lions Round 13 bye giving fans a treat.

Three trips to Victoria and one each to Sydney and Gold Coast will have the Lions traversing the countryside with games against Casey in Round 4 at Casey Fields, Coburg at Barry Plant Park in Round 6, and Werribee in Round 12 down in Victoria.

While a trip to Engie Stadium to take on the GIANTS in Round 9 and a QClash at People First Stadium in Round 11 complete the confirmed fixture up to Round 13.

The Lions will host Tasmania for the first time along with Essendon, North Melbourne and Gold Coast post Round 13 and will travel to take on Collingwood, Sydney, Carlton and Southport with Rounds 14-21 to be confirmed later in the year.
