While it was a disappointing season for the Lions, with only four wins and a spate of injuries, players on the Club's young list impressed in their development and a number of the older hands showed great leadership, consistency and commitment to the team.

Today lions.com.au we have part two of our series of player reviews, looking at guernseys 6 - 10.

#6. Josh Green

One third of the ‘Mozzie Squad’, Josh Green was another Lion to spend a stint on the sidelines this season as a result of injury. The 23-year-old played 16 games in 2015, missing six matches between Round 15 and Round 20 due to a stress fracture in his foot. Regardless, the damaging forward recovered to be the Lions’ leading goal kicker for the second consecutive season, with a tally of 25. In Round 23, Green’s best game of the season, he kicked four goals, had 16 disposals and laid five tackles in the Lions’ surprise win over the Bulldogs.

#7. Jed Adcock

Jed Adcock played his final game as a Lion in front of a home crowd at the Gabba in Round 23, starring in the Club’s stirring win over the Western Bulldogs by kicking four goals and having 21 disposals. 29-year-old Adcock missed just one match through injury in 2015, with his consistent on-field leadership important as the Lions rolled out one of the AFL’s youngest sides during the season.

#8. Rohan Bewick

Despite playing unaffected by injury this season, Rohan Bewick struggled for consistency, often falling out of sight of the selection panel; he played 15 games for the Lions in 2015 and travelled frequently as the team’s emergency. Nominated twice for ‘Mark of the Year’, Bewick wasn’t afraid to climb heights and made the most of opportunities as they were presented - he kicked three goals against the Giants in Round 10 and collected a season high 25 disposals against the Western Bulldogs in Round 23.

#9. Dayne Beams

Dayne Beams, recruited from Collingwood at the end of 2014, played just 16 matches and re-wrote Club history as the first player to claim the Merrett-Murray Medal having played less than 18 games. The 25-year old averaged 28 disposals (13 contested) and 6.5 clearances a match despite playing in a midfield often missing some of its best players through injury. His good form came to an abrupt end with news that he would require season-ending shoulder surgery. Beams had a season high 38 disposals against St Kilda in Round Nine and kicked three goals from 29 touches a week later against the Giants.

#10. Daniel Rich

After an ACL injury ruined his 2014 season, Daniel Rich was out to impress in 2015. As an integral part of the team’s defence group, the West Australian demonstrated moments of great skill and flair, but also struggled with consistency across the 21 games he played for the season. In his return game in Round One, Rich booted two goals and had 29 possessions in the Lions’ 12-point loss to the Pies. Fully recovered from injury, Rich (along with Brisbane Lions supporters) will be aiming to produce strong results in his eighth season at the Club.
