Lions hit prime time as fixture released

The Brisbane Lions' fixture for Rounds 16 – 22 has been unveiled by the AFL with the Lions landing three prime time slots, including back-to-back Thursday night games, in the run towards September.

The Gabba will be rocking on Thursday 25 June with current ladder leaders the Sydney Swans heading north for Round 16 before the Lions head to GMHBA Stadium for their second consecutive Thursday match against the Geelong Cats on Thursday 2 July.

The Lions have two family friendly Sunday sessions locked with Round 18 against Essendon scheduled for 4.40pm and Round 20 against Port Adelaide at 1.10pm.

Round 22 will see the Hawks back in Brisbane for a Friday night blockbuster on 7 August while the Round 23 and Round 24 matches against the SUNS and Collingwood remain floating.
