Of the six games scheduled at Springfield, the Lions will host a Grand Final rematch in Rd 2, under lights, against North Melbourne with the remaining five home matches all in family friendly twilight timeslots.

Lions Head of Women’s Football, Danielle Smith said the club was pleased with the schedule and looking forward to welcoming Lions fans back to Brighton Homes Arena.

“The 2026 season marks the 11th season of AFLW, and it’s incredible to see how far the competition has come,” Smith said.

“This year we want to build on our record crowds from last year by playing a great brand of footy and delivering a fun and unique event experience.

“There are some excellent family-friendly timeslots this season, including four Saturday twilight matches in Rounds 4, 8, 10 and 12, so we’re keen to see plenty of aspiring AFLW and AFL players filling the stands to cheer on the maroon, blue and gold.
