VFL Team Announcement: Academy debut and premiership Lion to bolster VFL side

The Brisbane Lions have selected their VFL side for Saturday afternoon’s Round 20 clash against Southport at Fankhauser Reserve.

The Lions team remains largely unchanged for the match, with AFL premiership player Bruce Reville in to bolster the midfield.

Brisbane Lions Youi Academy player Connor Freiberg will make his VFL debut, earning a place on the interchange alongside Tahj Abberley, Kyle Dunkley, Caylen Murray and Ethan Duke.

Reece Torrent will miss the clash with an ankle injury, and Isaac Waller has been omitted.

Brisbane’s Round 20 Smithy’s VFL match against Southport at Fankhauser Oval will begin at 12:05pm. Fans can catch the game via the livestream at alf.com.au
