To qualify for Brisbane Lions Life Membership, an individual must serve the Club for at least 10 years and be deemed to have made an outstanding contribution.
A player must be at the Club for a minimum of 10 seasons and have played at least 150 senior games to be eligible.
Oscar McInerney
Oscar McInerney received Brisbane Lions Life Membership after playing 165 games for the Club. After debuting in 2018, the ruck became a tough match-up for opponents through his contested marking and physical presence. He capped his career with a premiership, helping the Lions defeat Geelong in the 2025 AFL Grand Final alongside his teammates in the Maroon, Blue and Gold.
Hugh McCluggage
Hugh McCluggage received Brisbane Lions Life Membership after playing 226 games for the Club. A three-time premiership player and All-Australian, the influential midfielder has made an impact both on and off the field, with his leadership recognised through his appointment as co-captain in 2026.
Jarrod Berry
Jarrod Berry received Brisbane Lions Life Membership after playing 206 games for the Club. The versatile midfielder won a premiership with the Lions in 2024 before overcoming the disappointment of missing the 2025 Grand Final through injury to add another premiership last weekend in a thrilling victory over Fremantle. Described by coach Chris Fagan as “selfless,” Berry has also made a significant contribution away from the footy field as a Breast Cancer Network Australia ambassador, helping raise funds and awareness in honour of his late mother, Jedda.
Peter Blucher
Peter Blucher has been recognised for more than 47 years of service to Australian football, including more than three decades with the Brisbane Bears and Brisbane Lions. He was the first Media/Public Relations Manager in AFL history, helping establish the Club’s presence in Queensland and overseeing its communications operation through the Bears to Lions transition. A Queensland Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee, Blucher has continued to contribute to the Club, while also serving on the Brisbane Lions Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
