The ‘rusty fist’ turned it on up forward against the Giants with 23 disposals, 12 marks and a career-best seven goal haul which earned him a team-high 149 AFL Dream Team points for Round 8.
It ended up being a big day for our forwards, with Browny finishing a close second with 146 points thanks to his 23 disposals, 16 marks and five goals.
In fact, a total of six Lions players topped the 100-point mark this week, with another three getting into the 90s.
Unfortunately it wasn’t such a productive week for the 'Polka Specials' who have to go back to the drawing board after a terrible week.
I scored 1,801 points to drop back to the 334th - effectively undoing all my good work over the previous couple of weeks.
Another late withdrawal from Priddis hurt me - particularly considering I didn’t have an emergency (have I learnt nothing!) - while an injury early to Marc Murphy didn’t help my cause either.
Props to ‘LeueyLongerCombo’ who maintained their spot at the top of the Lions’ Dream Team League leaderboard for another week and ‘Paul ‘R’ Bears’ who had the biggest score of the round with 2,327 - just edging our Charlie Cheesecake’s ‘Laughing @ Potatoes’ by two points.
POLKS’ TIP FOR THE WEEK
Dayne ‘Tinka’ Zorko is a pocket rocket and after a score of 96 on Sunday, will be in the sights of most Dream Teamers given he’s a dual position player (forward/midfielder).
He’s only cheap at a touch over $100,000, so get him into your side this week before his value increases significantly next week.
