The team is fired up and ready for its final pre-season practice match against Essendon from 3:30pm this Saturday 17 March at Visy Park in Carlton.
Melbourne-based Brisbane Lions fans will also have the chance to meet the players and get autographs after they perform their regular warm-downs,.
Entry to the match is FREE for all existing 2012 Lions members (subject to capacity), while non-members will be able to purchase tickets from the gate. Fans will be kept entertained throughout the post-match by a roving MC who will conduct interviews with some of the players and coaches.
Injured skipper Jonathan Brown will also be making a special appearance at the match with the sole purpose of catching-up with Lions fans.
Brown will be lending a hand in the membership marquee located outside Gate 5 between 2:30pm and 3:30pm, before joining his team-mates on the field after the match to meet and greet the Victorian-based members and supporters.
As a further incentive for prospective 2012 Lions members, every person that signs up at the match this Saturday will go into a draw to WIN two tickets to the inaugural Hall of Fame event at Crown Palladium in June.

The Club apologises for the short notice of this event, however it was unavoidable as the final pre-season fixture was not confirmed by the AFL until last Sunday following the completion of the NAB Cup’s preliminary rounds.
This last-minute confirmation of the team’s practice game, coupled with travel and accommodation restrictions caused by the Grand Prix, has severely hampered the Club’s ability to coordinate a traditional ‘Family Fun Day’ in Victoria on Sunday morning.
Fans will be able to watch the Lions live in action, sign up as a 2012 member, purchase the latest Lions gear from the merchandise store, and even secure tickets to the upcoming Hall of Fame event at Crown Palladium.
The main attraction will no doubt be the Lions players, who are certainly eager to see their Victorian fans before commencing their AFL Premiership Season campaign against Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday 31 March.
The Club encourages all Lions fans to head down to Visy Park this Saturday 17 March to watch the team’s final pre-season hit out, and then catch-up with the players afterwards.
With only days to the event, get behind the Club and tell your friends and family to come along and support the Lions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
