The Brisbane Lions have recalled a host of key players ahead of this Saturday afternoon’s Round 3 NAB Cup clash against Carlton on the Sunshine Coast.

Full-back Daniel Merrett and midfielder Daniel Rich, who have both overcome minor injuries, have been named for their first official pre-season hitout, while Simon Black, Jed Adcock, Pearce Hanley, Joel Patfull, Patrick Karnezis and Ben Hudson also return after being rested from last week’s match against Adelaide in Alice Springs.

Even with the likes of Jonathan Brown (cheekbone) and Josh Drummond (hip) still missing, it will be the strongest line-up the Lions have fielded so far this pre-season as the Club continues its build-up to the AFL premiership season opener on Saturday 31 March.

Tickets for the match at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex are sold out.
