Some of Queensland’s best and most respected local coaches visited the Brisbane Lions on Thursday night for the third #ThanksCoach Masterclass, this time headed up by Chris Fagan and the Brisbane Lions oaching staff.

To kick things off,  all the winning coaches were taken through the Brisbane Lions facility. This was followed by the opportunity to watch the Lions players in action, training under lights at the Gabba.

Later they were joined by Senior Coach Chris Fagan. Fagan discussed his personal journey, moving from Tasmania to Melbourne to join the AFL to now, coaching the Lions.

Scott Borlace, the Development Coach, then spoke to the group about his role at the Lions and the importance of player development from a young age.

Then, Ben Hudson, ex-Lions player and now Ruck and Midfield Coach, shared the opposition strategy that he had taken the team through only a few weeks ago before their game against Fremantle.

Before the coaches all headed home, Danny Daly, dubbed the ‘Guru’ by Hudson, took everyone through a game review from the same Round 12 game. Daly gave the group some tips on how they could implement the same game and training analysis in their own clubs, without the help of Champion Data.
