This week's throwback moment cast an eye back to February when AFL Women's star Sabrina Fredrick-Traub thought she was in big trouble.

What appeared to be a normal team meeting quickly turned solemn when Forwards Coach Brent Staker was called up to deliver some serious news.

Announcing to the squad that: "something has come across my desk that I'm not happy about", Staker quickly had the girls quivering and looking down at their feet.

After singling out Sabs, the serious news turned out to be a Rising Star nomination for the powerhouse forward, much to the delight of the entire room.

Tears ended up flowing for Sabs, not because of the nomination, but from the scare she had just endured.

Unfortunately for Sabs, she was just edged out in the final voting for the inaugural AFLW's Rising Star by Crows midfielder, Ebony Marinoff.

Sabs has signed back on for AFLW's 2018 and we are counting down the days until we get to see her back in action!
