The Brisbane Lions today announced National Storage as the Club’s co-major partner until at least the end of the 2015 AFL season.

The three-year partnership was proudly unveiled at the Gabba today by Lions CEO, Malcolm Holmes, and National Storage Director, Andrew Catsoulis.

National Storage will join insurance giant Vero, a Suncorp Group brand, as co-major partner of the Lions from 2013 onwards.

The deal will take the storage leaders’ brand into millions of households around Australia, with the National Storage logo to feature on the front of the Lions’ away and clash guernseys, the back of the home guernsey, the Lions’ media backdrop, stadium signage and other Club media, marketing and online collateral.

“We are delighted to announce our new partnership with National Storage and officially welcome them into the Brisbane Lions family,” Mr Holmes said.

“National Storage is regarded as an industry leader in their field with 61 sites around Australia, and the Brisbane Lions are thrilled to align ourselves with such a highly respected, Brisbane-owned organisation.”

“We are very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with National Storage, and we look forward to working closely with them.”

National Storage Director Andrew Catsoulis said: “This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity to provide National Storage with national public exposure through an association with an iconic brand within the most popular and fastest growing sport in Australia.”

“This is a very exciting opportunity for us – we are hugely impressed with the drive, determination and the underlying ethos at the Brisbane Lions.”

“Like the Lions, National Storage is committed to developing a culture of excellence and success, and we take great pride in our organisation, which is proudly Queensland owned and operated.”

Lions’ Senior Coach Michael Voss, Captain Jonathan Brown, and the Club’s first-year players were on hand for the announcement this afternoon alongside Holmes and Catsoulis.

The National Storage logo will be seen from today on all players’ training gear, and on the Lions guernsey in Round 1 of the NAB Cup on February 23.
