The Brisbane Lions have made five changes ahead of Saturday’s clash with Richmond at the MCG.

Harris Andrews (groin) will return from injury, while Rhys Mathieson, Daniel McStay and Josh Green have all earned recalls following the Reserves’ win over Redland last weekend.

Key position player Matthew Hammelmann will make his debut for the Lions.

Hammelmann, a Hyundai Help for Kids Lions Academy product, will be the sixth Lion to debut in 2016.

The 20-year-old has had an impressive last month for the Lions’ Reserves in the NEAFL.

The Lions will be without defender Ryan Harwood who ruptured his posterior cruciate ligament in the Lions’ loss to the West Coast Eagles. Hammelmann was upgraded to the senior list in replacement of Harwood.

The 24-year-old will wear a brace for six weeks as he recovers and will be sidelined for at least eight weeks.

Tom Cutler (hamstring) and Dayne Zorko, who has elected not to play for personal reasons, will both be available following the bye.

Claye Beams and Marco Paparone have been omitted.

Bouncedown is at 1.40pm on Saturday.
