North Melbourne have a relatively small injury list ahead of round 2, with just two worries from their opening round match against the Crows.

Dynamic small forward Lindsay Thomas who hurt his shoulder against Adelaide has since received treatment and has been cleared to line-up against the Lions.

In the latest of North Melbourne’s injury updates it was announced that small forward Jed Anderson could be sidelined for around 8 weeks after injuring his hamstring.

North teammate Nick Dal Santo missed nine rounds last year after undergoing surgery on his damaged hamstring tendon but Anderson will not go under the surgeon's knife.

“Jed sustained a tear to his proximal hamstring tendon on Saturday night and had scans on Sunday to assess the damage,” North Melbourne Director of Football Geoff Walsh told NMFC.com.au.

North Melbourne’s Injury List:

Kayne Turner (hamstring) - Test
Jed Anderson (hamstring) - 8-10 weeks
Ed Vickers-Willis (shoulder) - 4 weeks
Daniel Nielson (knee) - 3-4 weeks

List updated March 29.
