Three Lions will return to Craig Starcevich’s Best 21 ahead of Saturday’s Round 4 clash against Geelong.

After missing the end of the 2020 AFLW season and the entire 2021 Premiership campaign with an ACL injury, Gabby Collingwood will get her chance to make her AFLW return this Saturday.

With eleven games under her belt, the 23-year-old will be looking to pick up her emerging AFLW career where she left off when she takes to the field this weekend.

2021 leading goalkicker Dakota Davidson will resume her position in the Lions’ forward line, after spending time sidelined with a foot sprain.

Her return will provide a much needed boost to the Lions’ offensive efforts, with fellow tall forward Taylor Smith to miss the Round 4 clash with an ankle sprain picked up in Tuesday’s night win against Carlton.

Experienced midfielder Sophie Conway will also get the call up to the Sunshine Coast for Saturday’s home game, after exiting the AFL Health and Safety Protocols earlier in the week.

Phoebe Monahan will get a chance to pull on the maroon, blue and gold for her 25th AFLW career game on Saturday.

The off-season recruit has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks, finding her feet in the Lions’ backline.

Maria Moloney will be rested and Ruby Svarc has been omitted.
