A foundation Lion, Anderson has been part of Brisbane’s AFLW program since the competition’s inaugural season and has built one of the most decorated careers in Club history.

The midfielder is a two-time premiership player, having featured in the Lions’ 2021 and 2023 flags, and claimed the AFLW Best and Fairest in 2022. She is also a four-time Brisbane Lions Best and Fairest winner and three-time All-Australian.

Anderson said she was proud to extend her time as a Lion for another two seasons.

“I’m really happy to have signed on for another two years and to be continuing my career at the Lions,” Anderson said.

“This Club has been such a big part of my life. To have been here since the first season and see how much our program and the competition have grown has been really special.

“I’ve been lucky enough to experience some incredible moments with this group, especially winning two premierships, but what excites me most is what we can still achieve together.

“I love playing alongside this group and working with our coaches and staff every day, so I’m really excited to be sticking around and hopefully creating a few more special memories together.”

Anderson’s consistency has been a hallmark of her career. Along with winning the competition’s highest individual honour, she has claimed the Lions’ Best and Fairest in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024 and finished runner-up in 2025.

Brisbane Lions AFLW senior coach Craig Starcevich said retaining a player of Anderson’s experience and quality was significant for the Club.

“Ally has been such an important part of our program from day one, so we’re thrilled she’s committed for another two years,” Starcevich said.

“Her record speaks for itself. She’s a two-time premiership player, a league Best and Fairest winner and has performed at an incredibly consistent level for a long period of time.

“But just as importantly, Ally understands what our program is about and the standards required to be successful. She cares enormously about her teammates and the Club and continues to set a great example for the players around her.

“Since returning in round 5 this year, Ally has continued to perform at a very high level and we’re really excited she’ll continue to play an important part inspiring the group over the next two seasons."

Anderson’s extension continues an important period of continuity for the Lions’ AFLW program, with Craig Starcevich also recently committing his future to the Club through to the end of 2029.
