Lions’ skipper Dayne Zorko has undergone a minor procedure on his ankle and will be unavailable for the Club’s pre-season games.

The reigning Club champion will be ready to resume training next week and is expected to be fit for the Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide at the Gabba on Saturday, March 19.

Zorko has been troubled by an Achilles complaint throughout the pre-season and has only taken part in one of the Club’s match simulation sessions.

The Lions will head to the Gold Coast next Friday to play Adelaide at Metricon Stadium in a practice match.

They will then fly to Melbourne to play the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium in their JLT Community Series game.
