The AFL has today released the dates and times for Rounds 12 to 15 of the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

The three new fixtured rounds pose some of the bigger hurdles the Brisbane Lions have faced this season, with all opponents currently placed 5th or higher on the ladder

Round 12
Fremantle Dockers v Brisbane Lions
Sunday 5 June, 3:20pm* at Optus Stadium

Round 13
Brisbane Lions v St. Kilda
Saturday 11 June, 7:25pm* at The Gabba

Round 14
BYE ROUND

Round 15
Melbourne Demons v Brisbane Lions
Thursday 23 June, 7:20pm* at The MCG

*Local time

The eighth Big Freeze will also take place during Round 13 with Collingwood hosting Melbourne on Queen’s Birthday Monday, shining a light on Neale Daniher and his family’s fight against motor neurone disease (MND).

Round 15 looks to be a particularly appetising match up, with Melbourne hosting the Brisbane Lions at the MCG in the first meeting between the two clubs since last year’s Qualifying Final match which was played at Adelaide Oval.

Each club will have one BYE across Rounds 12, 13, and 14 this season. AFL Head of Broadcasting and Scheduling Marcus King said the league thanked supporters for their ongoing support of the game across the country.

“It has been great to see supporters able to attend matches at every venue across the country this season and we are pleased to be able to confirm the dates and times for Rounds 12 to 15 of the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our strong aim remains to provide clubs, supporters and everyone involved in football with as much notice as possible to plan ahead,” Mr King said.
