The lead up to the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series has never been more exciting, with the Brisbane Lions looking to set a new fundraising record over the final three home games this season.

Brisbane Lions Chief Executive Officer, Greg Swann, said for the first time ever, supporters will have the chance to win a guaranteed Big Cash Prize at three Brisbane Lions home games, each in support of a different charity.

“At this weekend’s game, a lucky fan will have the chance to pocket a guaranteed $50,000, and funds raised will also support the Brisbane Lions Academy”  he said.

“This is an important fundraising initiative for the Brisbane Lions and our Academy as funds raised from the final raffle will help to create scholarships with the Lions Academy and help purchase equipment and other valuable resources to help develop future AFL and AFLW players for the Club.”

John Corry, Director and Founder of the 50-50 Foundation said it was exciting to offer a number of guaranteed prize raffles during a season of firsts for the 50-50 Charity Raffle, the Brisbane Lions, supporters, and beneficiary charities.

“The 50-50 Charity Raffle gives sports fans and the public the chance to play for large cash prizes while supporting local charities,” he said.

“Brisbane Lions fans have gotten to know and love the 50-50 Charity Raffle over the past few years. We’ve been able to celebrate raffle wins with hundreds of winners. This latest initiative will help to supercharge the cash prizes and funds raised for good causes.”

The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a 100% not-for-profit fundraising raffle that raises funds for a range of good causes Australia-wide. Volunteers are crucial to the success of the 50-50 Charity Raffle. Since the raffles started, over 38,000 hours have been donated by over 9,500 volunteers to help sell raffle tickets and raise funds for good causes.

“Don’t miss out on your chance to enter the $50,000 guaranteed prize raffle raising funds for Brisbane Lions Academy by buying tickets online today at www.5050charityraffle.com.au/lions,” said Mr Corry.

“Or better yet, look out for the volunteer sellers in bright green aprons at The Gabba on Saturday’s game.”
