The Brisbane Lions have moved defender Marcus Adams to the Inactive List as he recovers from a long-term injury.

Adams sustained a delayed concussion after playing in the Round 21 match last year against Carlton and missed the remainder of the 2022 season.

Brisbane Lions General Manager Football, Danny Daly, said Marcus would continue to receive treatment and work with the Lions medical staff.

“Unfortunately, Marcus is dealing with a serious injury that will unlikely see him play in 2023,” he said.

“While he is making some progress in his recovery from concussion, he continues to experience symptoms and his health and wellbeing remains the top priority.

“The Club is fully supportive of Marcus and his recovery, and he will remain involved with our footy program.”

The move will open up a spot on the Lions’ list via the AFL Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period.
