The Brisbane Lions have named their side of 24, set to take on Sydney in a VFL practice match.

The Lions VFL side will play in a curtain closer at 3pm AEST, following their AFL teammates match simulation against the Swans.

In a 3x25 minute practice match, Brisbane will be bolstered by mature AFL-experienced bodies in Nakia Cockatoo, Jarryd Lyons and Ryan Lester.

Former Saints defender, Darragh Joyce will make his first appearance in Lions colours alongside first-year player, Shadeau Brain.

Brisbane fans will get their first look at Kyle Dunkley and Lockie Rayner, while familiar VFL-listed faces Riley Greene, Wylie Buzza, Bruce Reville and Wilson Barry all named.
