The exciting pre-season for Brisbane Lions co-captains Lachie Neale and Harris Andrews has continued, with the pair named in the Snaffle 22Under22 Team of the Decade.

This star-studded team was announced as part of the AFL Players’ Association’s 50th Anniversary, with players named in the annual 22Under22 side since 2013 in contention.

After having 12 current and past Brisbane Lions players in the initial squad, it was Andrews and Neale that made the final cut alongside some of the competition’s biggest names.

The leadership qualities of Andrews were further highlighted with the key defender named as a Co-Vice Captain of the team.

He was named on the interchange alongside his Co-Vice and Fremantle’s Andrew Brayshaw.

While Neale featured in the Top 10 Most Popular players voted for, with the star midfielder being included in 59 per cent of the teams selected by fans.

The 2020 Brownlow Medallist earned a starting position in the midfield for the Snaffle 22Under22 Team of the Decade.
