The Brisbane Lions have named exciting young forward Kai Lohmann to take on the Gold Coast SUNS in Saturday’s QClash at Heritage Bank Stadium.

Lohmann, the sub in last week’s win against Geelong, comes into senior coach Chris Fagan’s best 22 with talented midfielder Will Ashcroft ruled out for the rest of the 2023 season with a ruptured ACL.

The 20-year-old will line up for his fifth AFL appearance of the season, hoping to deliver a similar performance to his impressive VFL form.

Brisbane has named Jarryd Lyons, James Tunstill, Darcy Fort and Darragh Joyce as its four emergencies for the match.
