The Brisbane Lions have made just one change ahead of Saturday’s Smithy’s VFL Qualifying Final with state rivals the Gold Coast SUNS. 

Ball-magnet midfielder Jarryd Lyons returns to the VFL after several strong performances at AFL level and will provide a strong boost in Brisbane’s engine room. 

Lyons is the only change coach Ben Hudson has made to the team which took down Casey in Round 23 to book a spot in Saturday’s final. 

Saturday’s qualifying final, which doubles as an unofficial QClash for the two Queensland teams, provides the Lions with an opportunity at redemption.  

Following their loss to the SUNS by 18 points in their Round 19 match up at Heritage Bank Stadium. 

The Lions have named Academy product Jack Manly, who in their last outing against the SUNS booted three goals. 

The game will be played at Heritage Bank Stadium with the first bounce at 6:05pm AEST.
