The Brisbane Lions’ preparations for their 2024 premiership pursuit will ramp up in February with the AFL today confirming the Pre-season fixture.

This AFL Community Series Match sees the Lions travel to take on the Sydney Swans at Blacktown International Sportspark on Thursday 29 February, with the first bounce at 4:10pm.

This match will give senior coach Chris Fagan and the Lions a chance to put their pre-season learnings to practice against a strong Swans team who played finals in 2023.

Lions fans wishing to attend the game will have the chance to do so as it is fully ticketed, with all members and kids able to attend for free.

For those who can’t make it to Blacktown International Sportspark can still watch from the comfort of their own home with it broadcast live on Fox Footy.

The Brisbane Lions will also take part in match simulation against fellow Queensland rivals the Gold Coast SUNS on Thursday February 22.

This will be held at Brighton Homes Arena starting at 5pm Brisbane time with broadcast details to be confirmed.

Tickets for the AFL Community Series will go on sale in February with further information to be communicated in late January.
