Co-Captain Lachie Neale headlines three key ins for the Brisbane Lions as they prepare to take on Collingwood in an Easter Thursday blockbuster at The Gabba.

Neale returns for the Lions who will be hoping the dual and reigning Brownlow Medalist can help lead them to their first win of the 2024.

The talented midfielder will play his second game of the season after missing Brisbane’s Round 1 clash against Fremantle with hamstring tightness.

Neale will be joined by defender Jack Payne and ruck-forward Darcy Fort who have also been selected by senior coach Chris Fagan and the match committee.

Fort is named on the interchange alongside Kai Lohmann, Deven Robertson, Callum Ah Chee and Lincoln McCarthy.

The Lions will be without rebounding defender Conor McKenna due to a hamstring strain, with midfielder Jarryd Lyons and utility Darcy Gardiner going out of the side.

Lyons is listed as an emergency with James Tunstill and Darragh Joyce.

Thursday’s match with the Pies will see Brandon Starcevich line up for his 100th AFL game after becoming an ever-reliable defender for the Lions since debuting in 2018.
