It’s a positive week on the injury front for the Brisbane Lions who are set to welcome back a key duo, while several other players are progressing well.

Defender Noah Answerth (concussion) and Deven Robertson (shoulder) are both available for selection ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Richmond.

Answerth comes out of concussion protocol after missing against Adelaide, while Robertson is expected to face the Tigers for just his third AFL appearance of 2024.

In further good news for the Lions, exciting forward-midfielder Zac Bailey continues to progress well as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Bailey is likely to return next week when the Lions travel to Melbourne to take on Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium.

Fellow midfielder Will Ashcroft ticked off a key milestone last week when he joined in drills training with the team for the first time since rupturing his ACL last year.

Ashcroft will continue to progress his involvement in training over the next month as he builds up to full training.

The Club is allowing the young midfielder to focus on his recovery without pencilling him in for an exact return, though believes he will be available within six to eight weeks.
