After nine years as short sponsor including two Premierships, the Brisbane Lions first ever AFLW sponsor, Austraffic, will transition to a Foundation Partner for the next two years.
Brisbane Lions Head of Women’s Football, Bree Brock paid tribute to the long-term support from Austraffic.
“This extension will take Austraffic’s support of the Lions out to 11 seasons, they are a big part of our success and they’ve stood behind us every step of the way.
“They have literally been there since day one. As passionate Lions fans they had signed up as Foundation Women’s members and were selected to present a player jumper each at the season launch. This was the week before Rd 1, and we still didn’t have a shorts sponsor.
“One of our commercial team ended up chatting to Caralyn and Martin and telling them about the predicament. They stepped in immediately and said “We want to help – We’ll sponsor them. And the rest is history.”
“To be able to have such tremendously generous, thoughtful, and kind sponsors along for the ride has been incredible. They come to all our games, have been through the highs and lows alongside us, and just given us so much love and support.”
Austraffic Qld owner, Martin Jordan-Williams said my wife, Caralyn and I are immensely proud of our association with the Lions since signing on ahead of the inaugural season back in 2017.

Lions AFLW Senior Coach, Craig Starcevich said the W squad appreciate Austraffic’s ongoing support.
“Austraffic took a decent risk to support a brand-new team in a start-up competition. Caralyn and Martin are welcome regulars in the rooms and have shared the journey with us all.
“We appreciate their ongoing support and very much value the relationship we’ve created. I am looking forward to sharing more success with them in the future.”
