The 2025 NAB AFLW season fixture was released today with the Brisbane Lions to play exclusively on Saturday and Sunday throughout the season.
With six games at Brighton Homes Arena and seven in Queensland, the Lions will be looking to pack out its Springfield base week in and week out, building upon the record crowds from season 2024.
“We are incredibly excited for our 2025 season to get underway. The full squad has returned for preseason, they’re as hungry as ever for success and we’re already counting down the days until Round 1,” Head of Women’s Football, Breeanna Brock said.
“Ahead of the competitions 10th season, we want to see Brighton Homes Arena packed out. We had some great crowds last year and really positive fan feedback about the match day so with such family friendly timeslots throughout the fixture and the great Queensland weather, we’re looking to deliver more great experiences.
“We have an amazing opportunity to showcase the talent of this team to all our Lions fans and members.
“Playing against every single finalist from 2024 will be a tough test for our group but one we are looking forward to.”
The Lions will kickstart their season at home in front of their Lions faithful against Hawthorn on Sunday afternoon.
Brighton Homes Arena will play host to a Grand Final rematch in Round 5 against North Melbourne along with blockbusters against big Victorian clubs Carlton and Richmond in Round’s 3 and 7 respectively.
Port Adelaide will travel to Brisbane for the first time in their history in Round 9 before a Round 11 rivalry clash against the Dees under the Springfield Saturday night lights, giving Lions fans a great opportunity to get down to Brighton Homes Arena and cheer on their AFLW side.
Interstate fans will also be treated to blockbuster match ups with the Lions travelling to Fremantle and Adelaide in the opening four rounds to take on the Dockers and the Crows.
While Victorian fans will see the Lions take on the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval, Essendon at Windy Hill and a Round 12 clash against Collingwood at Victoria Park.
