The Brisbane Lions AFLW side will proudly wear the Youi logo on the front of its guernsey for the next five seasons as the Queensland-based insurer continues to show strong support of the Lions AFLW program.
Following the announcement in 2024 that Youi would extend its partnership with the Club and become the Lions Principal partner for at least the next five seasons, the support of the AFLW program demonstrates the one club, two teams’ approach of both the Lions and Youi.
Head of Women’s football, Breeanna Brock said the devotion to the women’s program from a partner such as Youi was a huge step forward for the game.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to take Youi on the ride with the AFLW program across the next five seasons,” Brock said.
“Youi plays a key role in the community, and we are excited to take them on the journey with us, the highs and the lows and have them entrenched in the team.
"It is great to see a major Queensland company stand alongside a great Queensland sporting team, we can't wait to see what we can do together this season and beyond."
The partnership will also see an expansion of the ‘Youi Community Hill’ at Brighton Homes Arena during the AFLW season, giving community footy clubs and local charities the opportunity to fundraise on match days.
The Lions Round 1 clash against Hawthorn will see junior AFL Club, Jindalee Jags host the Youi Community Hill.
Youi will continue to have a stronger presence in the Brisbane Lions AFLW team, focused on providing more support to current players and young women aspiring to an AFL career.
This will include sponsoring both the junior mascot and ball delivery at every home game throughout 2025.
“We are delighted that following our extension to Principal Partnership of the Brisbane Lions; our partnership now extends beyond the Men’s to the Women’s season,” Youi’s Chief of Marketing, Angela Greenwood said
“We can’t wait to see the team out on the oval this year, proudly wearing the Youi brand alongside the Lions logo for the first time and for the next five seasons.
“We’re also incredibly proud to be working in partnership with Lions to further evolve our role in the great game of AFL and support initiatives that make a real difference in the community.
“This includes the Youi Community Canteen based at Brighton Homes Arena, an initiative that helped raise over $85,000 of funding back into grassroots AFL clubs across the last two seasons and will continue to operate this season.” Greenwood said.
The Lions are preparing for a Round 1 showdown against Hawthorn at Brighton Homes Arena on Sunday August 17 from 12:40pm.
