Youi Brisbane Lions Academy female head coach, Emma Zielke has today been announced as the head coach for the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships U18 Girls All Australian Team.

Zielke, who has coached the Queensland side for the last two National campaigns, led this year’s team to three wins and one loss across the championships.

Despite missing out on the silverware, Zielke was incredibly proud of the efforts of the team across the four matches.

“I’m honoured to be selected as the coach of this years u18 All-Australian side,” she said.

“The group played some really incredible footy across the four games and to have five players selected in the team is a testament to their performances.

"This selection is also a reflection of our coaching group and players efforts across the championships.

“Being apart of the Youi Brisbane Lions Academy pathway and being alongside many of the girls I’ve coach over the last few seasons, this achievement means a lot but it demonstrates the strength of football in Brisbane and Queensland.”

The Championships concluded on Sunday, with Victoria Metro securing back-to-back title wins after finishing atop the standings with a 3-1 record. Queensland also produced a 3-1 record, with the title decided on percentage.
