The Brisbane Lions are mourning the loss of former Fitzroy player, Greg Lourey, who passed away in November, aged 98.
He was believed to be the Club’s oldest living player before his sad passing.
Recruited from South Yarra, Lourey played 10 senior VFL matches and kicked one goal with Fitzroy between 1951-52. He was the 668th player to represent the Club in a senior VFL/AFL match and wore the #14 guernsey.
He also represented the Melbourne Football Club in seven matches from 1948-50.
