The Brisbane Lions have selected their 27-player squad to face Carlton in Wednesday night’s match simulation at Brighton Homes Arena.

Star off-season recruit Oscar Allen will play in his first official hit-out for the club, as will exciting draftee and Youi Brisbane Lions Academy graduate Dan Annable.

Newly appointed Co-Captain Josh Dunkley along with premiership teammates Jaspa Fletcher and Jarrod Berry are named as they prepare for Opening Round.

With other noticeable inclusions set to further boost the excitement for Brisbane fans being Keidean Coleman and Lincoln McCarthy who return from long-term injuries.

The Lions will rest Origin pair Hugh McCluggage and Charlie Cameron, while managing duo Cam Rayner and Logan Morris ahead of next week’s clash with Gold Coast SUNS.

Premiership-winning assistant coach Dale Morris will take the reins in the Lions’ coaches box against Carlton on Wednesday night.

The match simulation on Michael Voss Oval at Brighton Homes Arena is scheduled to start at 5:02pm local time and will be streamed live on Fox Footy and Kayo.
