With three goals in his 50th game as the Lions lost by two points to Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday, the 20-year-old key forward now has 88 goals.
Only 2001-03 premiership player Daniel Bradshaw, who kicked 102 goals in his first 50 games for the club, has had more at the same milestone.
Morris has tipped current teammate Kai Lohmann out of the top 10, with Lohmann’s 51 goals in 50 games now 11th-best all-time. The top 10 is:
1 – Daniel Bradshaw – 102
2 – Logan Morris - 88
3 – Justin Leppitsch – 77
4 – Eric Hipwood – 77
5 – Luke Power – 74
6 – Craig McRae – 67
7 - Josh Green – 64
8 – Jason Akermanis – 67
9 – Todd Banfield – 57
10 – Dayne Zorko – 52
Morris, 19 days short of his 21st birthday, is the 130th of 362 Brisbane players all-time to reach 50 games for the club. And the 15th to post his half-century before turning 21.
Nigel Lappin, at 20 years 15 days, is the youngest from Michael Voss (20/30), Chris Scott (20/85), Justin Sherman (20/127), Jason Akermanis (20/159), Harris Andrews (20/203), Marcus Ashcroft (20/214), Darcy Wilmot (20/223), Jack Redden (20/241), Cam Rayner (20/251), Jonathan Brown (20/271), and Daniel Rich (20/318), Eric Hipwood (20/332) and Alex Witherden (20/341).
With a 36-2-12 win/loss record at 78.0%, Morris is equal 3rd on the ‘winningest’ list behind only Mal Michael (40-10 at 80.0%) and Martin Pike (39-1-10 at 79.6%). He is level with Robert Copeland (39-11) and Callum AhChee (39-11) at 78.0%.
Already with eight finals in a career which promises so much, Morris has played more times at the business end of the season in his first 50 games than any Brisbane player.
Jaspa Fletcher (7) is second on this list, ahead of Keidean Coleman (6), Robert Copeland (6), Darcy Wilmot (6) and imports Josh Dunkley (6), Mal Michael (6) and Martin Pike (6).
Morris, Jaspa Fletcher, Michael and Pike each played two grand finals inside 50 games.
And, with two premierships in his first 50 games, in ultimate terms Morris is the most successful Brisbane 50-gamer among club debutants in history. The only other Brisbane players with two flags in 50 Brisbane games were imports Michael and Pike.
Eight other Brisbane players have won one premiership inside 50 games - Will Ashcroft, Jonathan Brown, Jamie Charman, Copeland, Jaspa Fletcher, Kai Lohmann, Ash McGrath, Brad Scott and Aaron Shattock.
Among Brisbane debutants, Tom Rockliff holds the club record for most possessions at 50 games with 1252 from Will Ashcroft (1206), David Bain (1126), Danny Noonan (1098), Alex Witherden (1055), Simon Black (980), Pearce Hanley (971), Jack Redden (951), Cheynee Stiller (951) and Martin Leslie (932).
Bain, who split his 98-game AFL career between the Brisbane Bears (86 games from 1989-93) and Fitzroy (12 games in 1994), had most Brownlow Medal votes at 50 Brisbane games with 30.
Will Ashcroft (21) was second ahead Matthew Clarke (20) , Des Headland (16), Simon Black and Tom Rockliff (13), Daniel Bradshaw and Dayne Zorko (11), Troy Clarke (9), Darryl White, Matthew Clarke, Tim Notting, Daniel Rich and Eric Hipwood (8).
