AFLW: Lions undefeated in Winter Series

AFLW: Lions v Gold Coast Suns The Brisbane Lions go 3 from 3 after their win over the Gold Coast Suns in the final Winter Series game on the weekend.

The Brisbane Lions AFLW side cruised to a 73-point victory over the Gold Coast Suns in their third and final Winter Series clash on Saturday night at Metricon Stadium. 

The result means the Lions finish the inaugural Winter Series undefeated, after earlier victories over GWS South and North. 

Jess Wuetschner and Kate McCarthy did the damage up front for the Lions, both kicking four goals, while Sabrina Frederick-Traub chipped in with two. 

Speedy midfielders Jordan Zanchetta, Emily Bates and Emma Pittman were also standouts for the Lions. 

The huge victory was soured by an injury to Captain Emma Zielke, who left the field in the second quarter after breaking her foot
