Cam Ellis-Yolmen excited to become a Lion

The Brisbane Lions have signed unrestricted free agent Cam Ellis-Yolmen.

The 26-year-old, 191cm midfielder arrives at the Lions after spending eight years at the Crows, where he played 39 games.

Ellis-Yolmen said he is excited by the change and move to Brisbane.

“The Lions have had a lot of success this year, which has been exciting to watch,” he said.

“Looking in from the outside, they seem to have a good culture, which I can’t wait to be a part of.

“I know quite a few people at the Club already, so I feel like I will have a good support network around me.

“In terms of footy, I want to gain as much experience as I can and play as many games as possible in 2020.”

In 2019 Ellis-Yolmen played 10 AFL games for the Crows and averaged 23.5 disposals and 5.5 tackles per game.

General Manager of Football David Noble said the big-bodied midfielder will be a good fit for the team.

“He’s matured as an individual and we believe he is ready to go to the next level in his footballing career.

“Cam will help bring more physicality to our game as he is strong and holds his ground well.

“His addition will help strengthen our midfield.”

Ellis-Yolmen will move to Brisbane in mid-November.
