The Brisbane Lions have named an exciting list of inclusions for Saturday’s VFL QClash with the Gold Coast Suns with a strong representation of local Queensland talent.

Amongst the inclusions are six Youi Lions Academy players - Cooper Hodge, Harrison Bridge, Reece Thompson, Archie Watts, Matthew Owen and Cayley Murray.

It is an extra special occasion for two of them with Thompson and Watts who make their VFL debut at People First Stadium.

The Lions also welcome back AFL-listed duo Cody Curtin and Koby Evans along with Fergus McFadyen to take on the fellow Queensland rivals.

Going out of last week’s team is the trio of Darragh Joyce, James Tunstill and Shadeau Brain who have all been rewarded with AFL selection.

Defender Tom Doedee and forward Will McLachlan miss with injury, while Bailey Hahn, Charlie Hewitt, James Creighton and Archie Smith are omitted.

The Lions travel down the highway to take on the Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the match schedule to start at 1:30pm.
