The Brisbane Lions confirm defender Keidean Coleman will be sidelined for approximately five to six weeks with a hamstring strain.
Coleman, who was ruled out of Saturday’s Round 12 match with Fremantle during the quarter-time break, went for scans on Sunday which confirmed the injury.
Fellow Lions defender Tom Doedee will miss six with a calf strain and exciting forward Will McLachlan is set to be out for eight to 10 weeks with a quad strain.
The pair sustained their injuries in Sunday’s VFL match against Frankston.
In positive news on the club’s injury front, Lincoln McCarthy (hamstring) and Eric Hipwood (knee) are both nearing close to a return to play.
The experienced forward duo could both make returns as early as the next fortnight.
