Murray represented the Allies throughout the championships and was the only player from the Allies selected in the All-Australian team.

Murray said it is a great honour to be named in the side. 

“It was a great feeling to hear the news. It's something I’m really grateful for," Murray said.

"It’s been an unreal year, and I’m thankful to my family, coaches and teammates who have supported me every step of the way."

Brisbane Lions Head of Academy Dayne Frew said Murray's selection in the squad is a fitting reward for his effort. 

"Caylen has worked super hard to get his game to the standard it is now at. To travel to and from the Sunshine Coast two to three times a week, with the support of his dad, is a tremendous effort," Frew said. 

"Caylen is an extremely hard worker, a student of the game and a great human who is always looking for ways to better his game."
