The Lions will host North Melbourne at Brighton Homes Arena on Saturday 22 August at 7.15pm.
First Game On Us will return for Round 4 when Brisbane hosts GWS Giants during Indigenous Round on Saturday 5 September at 4.35pm.
Designed to remove the barrier to attending a first AFLW match, First Game On Us gives new fans the chance to experience the speed, skill and energy of the women’s game, along with the family-friendly atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Lions AFLW match days.
Brisbane Lions Head of Women’s Football Danielle Smith said the initiative was about welcoming more people into the AFLW community and giving them a reason to come back.
“We know how much fans love their first experience of AFLW,” Smith said.
“First Game On Us is about making that first step easy — whether you’re a young family, a sports fan who hasn’t been to AFLW before, or someone who simply wants a great night out in Brisbane.”
“Our ambition is to introduce more Queenslanders to the Lions AFLW experience, deliver a memorable match day, and convert first-time attendees into repeat fans and members.”
Fans who have not previously attended a Brisbane Lions AFLW home match will be able to register for the offer through the club’s website, with tickets limited and subject to availability.
Current Brisbane Lions AFLW members can also bring a friend for free, by registering here.
