Darragh Joyce and Will McLachlan have both been named in the initial squad of 48 players, following impressive performances in the home-and-away season.
Brisbane Lions General Manager Football, Danny Daly congratulated the pair on their achievements.
"To have both Darragh and Will named in the VFL Team of the Year squad is a testament to the consistency and qualities of their performances throughout the season," Daly said.
"Everyone at the club is incredibly proud of their efforts and how they have represented the Lions this year. We also thank their families and partners for their continued support."
The final team of 24 players will be named at the 2026 VFL Awards on Monday, September 14.
