Scheffler has been named in Team Fleming, while Murray will represent Team McKenzie in the annual talent showcase featuring the nation's leading AFLW prospects.

Brisbane Lions head female academy coach Sophia Ikosidekas has also been selected as an assistant coach for Team Fleming.

The Marsh AFL National Futures program brings together talented players from across Australia in a high-performance environment ahead of their draft year, with all selected players born in 2009 and eligible for the 2027 Telstra AFLW Draft.

The Lions also congratulate Youi Academy players Elani Johnson, Keleejay Bingham and Libby Robinson, who have been selected in the AFL's inaugural Indigenous and Multicultural Futures Program.

Johnson has been named in the Indigenous Futures squad, while Bingham and Robinson will represent the Multicultural Futures squad.

Ikosidekas said the selections were recognition of the players' dedication and commitment throughout their academy journey.

"We're incredibly proud of Indiana, Ameleia, Elani, Keleejay and Libby and what they've achieved through their hard work and commitment to their development," Ikosidekas said. 

"Selection in these programs is a fantastic reward for the effort they've consistently put into their football, both within our Academy and at their community clubs.

"These opportunities allow players to challenge themselves against some of the most talented young footballers in the country and gain valuable experience in an elite environment.

"We look forward to watching them represent the Brisbane Lions Academy and make the most of this exciting opportunity."

Both the National Futures and the Indigenous and Multicultural Futures showcases will be played on Sunday September 13 at Windy Hill and Waverley Park respectively.
