Former Fitzroy players Raymond Brain sadly passed away over the weekend, aged 66.

Brain played 13 senior matches and booted one goal with Fitzroy from 1972-74, after being recruited to the Club from North Reservoir.

He wore a different number in each of his three years at Fitzroy – playing four games in #9 (1972), four games in #38 (1973), and five games in #41 (1974).

He was the 896th player to represent the Club in a senior match.

Ray maintained a love for the Lions post his playing career, and instilled this passion into his children who still support the Club today.

The Club extends its heartfelt sympathy to his family.
