Brownlow Medallist and three-time Brisbane Lions premiership superstar Simon Black will headline the first-ever Brunswick Street Bash played in Melbourne on Sunday 8 April.

Black and other past greats from Fitzroy and the Lions will take to the field as part of the AFL 9s style round-robin tournament, hosted at the iconic Brunswick Street Oval.

The ex-players – who will be revealed over the coming weeks – will be lining up with, and against, a collection of supporters keen on mixing it with their former heroes.

A very limited number spots are still available for potential participants – Email melbourne@lions.com.au for further details on how to be involved.

The event is open to men and women aged 15 years or over – and caters for all abilities.

Fitzroy FC will also be on hand at their home ground, running their famous BBQ and selling memberships and merchandise ahead of their upcoming VAFA campaign.

The Club encourages ALL members and supporters to head along and watch this family-friendly football event in Fitzroy’s heartland, support the community, and catch-up with some familiar faces.
