• Brock Smith, 189cm, 13/03/2001
  • Defender
  • Gippsland Power/Vic Country

The Brisbane Lions have selected Brock Smith from Gippsland Power with Pick No. 33 at the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.

Brock is a defender who can play both offensive and defensive roles.

While being able to play that lockdown role on various opponents, the Gippsland Power Captain is also able to provide offensive run rebounding off the half back.

His one-on-one strength helps him take on the stronger players, while his competitive nature helps him challenge those with greater athletic traits.

Lions Recruiting Manager, Steve Conole, says:

“A super consistent defender for Gippsland Power and Vic Country.”

“Can defend on various types of opponents and can play a more offensive role as an intercepting type when needed.

“Terrific character and will be a fantastic acquisition to the footy club.

Welcome to the Den, Brock!
