The Brisbane Lions are well on their way to shattering Membership records in 2020 with 20,000 Lions fans becoming #uncaged before Christmas – a feat that has not been achieved at least in the last 10 years.

The unprecedented membership count comes after the Lions finished the 2019 season in second place and played in two Finals for the first time in a decade.

Previously, the Club signed on 15,000 members before Christmas in 2014 heading into the 2015 season with new recruit Dayne Beams headlining list changes at the time.

Lions Members can look forward to several blockbuster games in 2020, including two Thursday night and two Friday night games across the year.

Collingwood will travel to The Gabba for Easter Thursday in Round 4, followed by Richmond on Friday 8th May (Round 8). The Lions will play the Demons on Friday in Round 14 and Hawthorn on Thursday 25th June (Round 15).

The Club will also make history when the AFL and AFLW teams take part in a double-header against North Melbourne on Saturday 28th March at The Gabba.

Lions Vice-Captain Harris Andrews said, "It's unbelievable, we've never reached a milestone like this before Christmas.

"We can't thank our members enough for their support and loyalty and can't wait to do them proud in the 2020 season."

The Brisbane Lions will eye off the all-time Club membership record of 30,221 for the start of the 2020 season. The current record stands from 2004 - a period that saw the Lions appear in four consecutive Grand Finals and win three of them.

The best way to ensure a seat in what is sure to be a stellar season for the Lions is to become a 2020 Member. You can purchase Brisbane Lions Memberships online below.
